Red Bridge Red 2019
This vintage of our versatile blend does not disappoint. 65% Merlot, 23% Cabernet Sauvignon, and 12% Syrah. Licorice and cigar box aromas lead into delicious palate coating flavours of cherry, cranberry and chocolate. Soft, juicy tannins and bright acidity.
Each of the 4 Similkameen vineyards used in this blend bring something unique to the wine profile. The world-class Cabernet and Syrah sites are full of angular granite on the Cawston Bench in the Similkameen Valley. The Merlot comes from our leased vineyard on the Cawston Flats of the valley floor.
The grapes were hand harvested and gently destemmed and crushed into small open-top fermenters. Various yeasts were used to increase complexity. The fermenters were hand-punched 2 times daily. After fermentation the wine was pressed and put into premium American and French 225 litre barrels and 500 litre puncheons for 16 months. The components were blended and then bottled without any fining or filtration. Vegan friendly.
