Something a little different fromm Orofino - A fizzy red inspired by Lambrusco! Bright and fruity and perfectly suited to accompany dinner party appetizers, or even a holiday dinner. Dry and highly quaffable.
This small production wine gets more attention from wine writers than anything else we make. Why? It’s juicy, fresh, highly gulpable and tastes like the vineyards here in Cawston where it was grown. It’s the real deal. Gold medal at the 2023 National Wine Awards of Canada. *This is a light-bodied, low tannin wine with plenty of acidity!
Pinot Noir seems to like our site here on the Cawston bench. We blend 5 clones of Pinot Noir from various blocks of vines planted as far back as 1989. This is a wine that is truly made in the vineyard. Classic notes of cherry & spice. No messing around, no fining and no filtration. Silver Medal winner at 2023 All Canadian Wine Championships
